To play, each player chooses a color (blue, red, yellow or green) "hand" and matching colored peanuts and sits in front of one of the partitioned areas of the base. When turned on he will greet you with "Hi, I am Nutty Elephant" and music plays. As the Elephant turns, each player tries to feed him the peanuts by putting them, one at a time, on the hand and hoping the magnet in the underside of the peanut will connect with the one in the trunk. Every so often, he will say "I am hungry!", "I'm still hungry!", "Great job everyone!", or "Am I hungry!". When Nutty's trunk extends upward, the peanut will fall off and fall into his mouth. The first person to feed the Elephant all of his or her peanuts is the winner and gets to depress the peanut on the base and to hear Nutty trumpet.
